DJMOTION
1. What is the significance of your DJ name and how did you get it?
I was a wild child. For at least something with all drove. People always said, you are very emotional, calm down!
When I decided to work with music I was looking for a name that I specify.
Emotion was the perfect name for me! I wrote it in English to make it international. First it wasn't so approved but in time the name became Label.
Now people know the emotion, but do not know what my truth it is kind of fun. A friend told me then:
It wont work and it will never happen. Find yourself a serious work! Now I want to say to him, man now I'm THE serious work.
I didn't advertise, because I wanted people to learn over time. And those who love me will always listen to my musics and they will find it even without advertising
2. When did you start and what first drew your attention to the profession you practice.
I don't know when they adopted me seriously as a DJ. I just remember the first time I started. That was in 1991, our neighborhood had a bar that was with 5 tables and 50 seats. With a Cassette I played a CD, which was not widely practiced. I was a student and helped a DJ who worked there. Worked as a seller of music. I knew every titles and could only read the name of the group and tell what song was a hit, what style of music is etc.
Even then I understood everything about music and didn't hide it. When I started playing music for the first time all the people in the bar danced and had fun. Then the boss of the bar told me that I was born to become a DJ. So I started to replay resident DJ. After that there were more clubs up to today. I was 16 and I thought that this is the best profession in the world.
3. What images and emotions do you want your music to involve in the listener:
My name is always associated with a HIP-hop music. Although my first track was electronic. Furthermore, let and lounge. Which can be defined as "world music". Because it involves all styles and groups who have such pieces. I Mix it all as long as I feel it.
My favorite music is "HOP" because hip-hop's commercial side, And hop is more serious and meaningful. I would not say that I run only one of the two hip-hop and lounge. I Just go to more specific parties. Places where my music would fit. I can't only listen to hip - hop because I need something
else or Scott of everything else perfectly covered by the spectrum lounge. The more I listen to so many different music styles the more I feel rich inside. I feel new emotions that fill me with already known and convert them in to my feelings.
4. Who and what are your influences? how would you describe your sound?
My first idol is Billy Idol. It wasn't him in particular but the mix of punk rock and brutal. When I was young i was Wearing green jeans with chains instead of belt, black jacket and studded boots. Rock wave of 80 were totally on fire. I rode BMX and roller / I can also add to my idols:
Michael Jackson and Pola Abdul, who I respect for dancing. In general to emulate them completely but rather to take fresh without change. And speaking of music styles: metal, rap, djazz, latino bossa, vintage, breaks, chill out, down tempo, new sound. A strange mix of all of this is my ideal.
5. What do you think about your country?
Bulgaria is really beautiful. Mountains, sea, ideal 4 seasons. People are kind and firendly. Especially in the small towns. Incredible cuisine with Asian and oriental flavor. Because we live at a crossroads here you can find new kinds of taste and feelings about things that usually you don't like to eat. One of the few places in modern times where the fruits and vegetables contain all vitamins. In compare with Europe here is relatively cheap. I advise you to see the seven Bulgarian treasures (our inns and kings) fortress in Veliko Tarnovo, The Seven Lakes, Mineral Baths of Hisar and all known holiday destinations on the sea and the mountains. I was born by the sea, so wherever I go I do look for water first and then for the sunrise.
6. What would you advise us, meet the sunrise on the beach this is certainly a moment that you will not to forget.
7. Would you share with us something interesting about you?
I love free diving. I have a cat which name is Shagy. In the Summer I love the sunrises! This is a special moment for me where I can sleep all alone and see when the new day comes... amazing! Sometimes playing music for 24 hours and nosleep, I need those kind of moments. But I feel happy and my work gives me strength to go forward. Now I want to do a lot of pieces and to publish an album. But all in good times.
8. What would you like to say to your fans when they listen to your music?
Grab a cocktail or just your favorite drink, find a place to hear music and the sea will walk on aiming musical world without having to travel at all. Musical cocktail contains everything you need. The calm atmosphere leaves you thinking about your dreams, but my music will definitely make you a dream. Music is a language that can be understand by everyone and without talking.
9. what are your biggest records at the clubs when you spin?
